What a Beautiful weekend

This weekend is just what I needed. A Dicken's of a Christmas has been going on for 5 yrs. I've been there for 3. Wellsboro was beautiful. I was worried about the wind that had blown through the night before but, the day was just beautiful & crisp. I tasted bread pudding for the first time. Not bad and it was warm with warm vanilla pudding on top. Kinda like french toast in a cup...
I saw local friends there, It was nice to go that far away and see people you know. I was able to get a couple of xmas gifts crossed off my list so that was fun.
I talked about the wind... Rick had been hunting during the day on Friday and said he hadn't been in the woods in winds like that since we lived in Maine and he was hunting with my Grandfather with trees crashing down around them.
We passed through Halifax, Pa where the tornado passed through the town was black with no electric you could see the damage out on the highway too. Polls down Electric people working on them. Ugh, I'd hate that job.
When we reached the Ranch the wind was still whipping. Their house is on a hill at the top...It sounded like the siding was blowing off all night. But everything was fine in the morning and we saw no wind damage. A big change in the weather from 70's in E-town to 30's in Wellsboro. That storm brought the Dec. temps with it for sure. 39 is projected for our high today.
Jake and Mindy were by last night. They had put her xmas lights up at her house but her fuse box couldn't handle it...so Jake and her dad worked on that.
They are cute.
Jess will be putting her first xmas tree up this week . I'm excited to see how she decorates it. It's weird not having children home at this time of year. I haven't decorated a tree in a few years it was always Jessie's "job".
I teach one more xmas card class tonight. It should be fun I know a couple ladies are coming as xmas gifts from their friends. Should be a good group.
Have a great day!

I love thinking of Rick and Grampy tramping through the Maine woods hunting together. :-) Sounds like a lovely weekend.

Love you!
