I would show you but...
Ok, so I would post a picture of my tree for this year but...
After 10 years my Martha lights,( they looked like lit pearls) have died and of course they don't make them anymore..and to top it off they were on and tree was decorated when they went out. So I de-dressed my tree and bought new lights this weekend and dressed my tree. To say the lights are bright are an understatement. maybe because my living room is small. Ok, so next year it will look better in a bigger room...
So this morning I saw a light bulb out( an of course it was right in front by a very special ornament) changed it stood back to look and the top half of the tree lights were now out. So I checked each light still couldn't get it to work. So I thought... I'll leave it for Rick, he'll fix it while I'm teaching tonight.
Then all of a sudden I heard a crack... the tree fell over! Now I have my pretty tree all over the small living room floor. So, for the third time this year I took all the decorations off the tree. It is now leaning against the wall. Rick will be getting a new stand tonight on his way home from work. Then on Wed., sometime I will re-dress my tree....

What a Beautiful weekend
This weekend is just what I needed. A Dicken's of a Christmas has been going on for 5 yrs. I've been there for 3. Wellsboro was beautiful. I was worried about the wind that had blown through the night before but, the day was just beautiful & crisp. I tasted bread pudding for the first time. Not bad and it was warm with warm vanilla pudding on top. Kinda like french toast in a cup...
I saw local friends there, It was nice to go that far away and see people you know. I was able to get a couple of xmas gifts crossed off my list so that was fun.
I talked about the wind... Rick had been hunting during the day on Friday and said he hadn't been in the woods in winds like that since we lived in Maine and he was hunting with my Grandfather with trees crashing down around them.
We passed through Halifax, Pa where the tornado passed through the town was black with no electric you could see the damage out on the highway too. Polls down Electric people working on them. Ugh, I'd hate that job.
When we reached the Ranch the wind was still whipping. Their house is on a hill at the top...It sounded like the siding was blowing off all night. But everything was fine in the morning and we saw no wind damage. A big change in the weather from 70's in E-town to 30's in Wellsboro. That storm brought the Dec. temps with it for sure. 39 is projected for our high today.
Jake and Mindy were by last night. They had put her xmas lights up at her house but her fuse box couldn't handle it...so Jake and her dad worked on that.
They are cute.
Jess will be putting her first xmas tree up this week . I'm excited to see how she decorates it. It's weird not having children home at this time of year. I haven't decorated a tree in a few years it was always Jessie's "job".
I teach one more xmas card class tonight. It should be fun I know a couple ladies are coming as xmas gifts from their friends. Should be a good group.
Have a great day!

what an adventure I've begun
Today I submitted 4 two page SB layouts to see if I can get published...I don't know how long I'll have to wait to hear if I get chosen. If so, what I win is a page kit with my page design on a recipe card in it. ( it's a club I have at the store)It will say my name and where I'm from. Boy I hope I submitted right. And of course I had to have a layout of Sugar...I don't have anything else to scrapbook so she's the chosen one :).
I'm packing to go to Wellsboro, Pa this weekend on a ladies getaway. (Mom, her friend and cousin Nancy. All older ladies but fun to be around).
They are having a Dickens of a Christmas there. It's such a beautiful little town. This is where Rick's Mom & Dad will retire so we are going to the "Ranch" for the weekend and to take in all the activities and crafts. They even have a parade with animals and owners in period costumes. They bring the big covered wagons in from the little grand canyons-(right down the road from their ranch) and give rides. I go for the food and to look. It's always so cold. Maybe I'll get to try out my new boots.
It was still very warm here high 60's today. Tomorrow storms are to blow in with 50 mile an hour winds & thunderstorms. Then leave 40's for us. Maybe that will get me in the Xmas mood. Rick will be happy too. It's to warm to hunt so he says bring on the colder weather.

Another beautiful day here in Pa.
It's hard to be in the Christmas mood with 60 degree weather!
I need some of that N.Maine cold air...
Started decorating for the holidays today. I think I may put up our tree tomorrow, even though it's not Dec. yet. I added links today to my blog the one of The Crown of Maine are pics taken by a family friend, from my home town. You'll see why I miss it. Enjoy.
